Happy Spring! With much anticipation, and a terrific turnout, Nicsa concluded its 2022 Strategic Leadership Forum earlier this month. With nearly 200 members on site, and over 850 virtual attendees, we were thrilled to host one of the industry’s first in-person conferences for 2022. We continue to reach more members, across more business verticals, and across management levels than ever before – more evidence that our members are engaged, energized, and dedicated to the industry we all serve.
Highlights from the SLF were plentiful. The content produced by our volunteers at the event was excellent, and I urge you to download the SLF Wrap Up, visit the archives, or check out photos if you missed the real time sessions. Recordings are now available on our website and are available to any employee of registrant firms.
Nicsa Gives Back
This year, we were pleased to offer our event attendees multiple opportunities for charitable giving. This included our Annual Blackwell Scholarship Charity Golf Tournament at the renowned TPC Sawgrass in support of outstanding students of the Nicsa family. In addition, we hosted a high-energy and hands-on meal packaging event in support of U.S. Hunger’s vision of a hunger-free world. Our Nicsa Gives Back Reception was a terrific opportunity for all participants to gather in the spirit of community, and I personally enjoyed reconnecting with many old and new friends.
Blackwell Scholarship
As a reminder, the annual Blackwell Scholarship is now accepting applications until May 10, 2022. The scholarship recognizes outstanding students of the Nicsa family with financial and social support for postsecondary education. Blackwell Scholars receive up to four years of scholarship support, a mentor from a Nicsa member company, and access to career networking and internship opportunities. I was honored to recognize members of the Nicsa community with our annual Volunteer of the Year Awards. These volunteers are committed to furthering our mission and we are thankful for their exemplary efforts.
