Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Veteran's Day to our members who have served in the Armed Forces. The Nicsa Staff is grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiastic energy from our member firms and individual volunteers throughout this past year. As we round out the last quarter of 2021, I’d like to reflect on some important efforts and initiatives over the last few months.
Most importantly, we were so pleased to “see” many of you at our virtual 2021 General Membership Meeting (GMM), which took place October 6-8. Together, we explored new ways to drive innovation in the global asset management industry. Additionally, GMM registrants were able to participate in Nicsa’s inaugural Digital Innovation Summit on October 19, featuring the latest information on fraud prevention, cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, FinTech, and more. Replays and recaps are now available on our website.

There was a great deal of rich content created by our many and varied committees over the last several months, and links to these educational resources can be found in the ICYMI section below. In addition, there were several newsworthy announcements made by the Association. These include:
Nicsa Appoints Six New Committee Chairs
Nicsa’s Annual DEI Perception Study Identifies Gaps, Offers Actionable Tips
Nicsa Appoints Six New Members to Board of Directors at 2021 GMM
Nicsa’s Diversity Project North America Named WIAM DEI Initiative of the Year
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce a new initiative, Nicsa Accelerator, a professional development program. I am excited to share with you that we have officially launched our first course, Inclusive Leadership for High Performance.
This is a comprehensive course that was created by the internationally recognized Henka Institute. The course will be run by a certified instructor and take place virtually January through April, with weekly classes or breakout sessions.
Inclusive Leadership for High Performance is ideal for managers who want to elevate and shift the way they lead their team in a way that fosters innovation & inclusivity, thus driving better performance across the board. More information, including a brochure and class agenda, can be found at nicsa.org/accelerator.
In closing, as we look forward with optimism for a return to in-person business interactions, I ask all of you to SAVE THE DATE for Nicsa’s 2022 Strategic Leadership Forum, to be held at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida from March 30 – April 1. We very much look forward to (re)connecting with you!
Sincerely,
Jim Fitzpatrick President & CEO Nicsa
