This recognition is not only for our initiative, but for our dedicated committee members who continue to advance the asset management industry toward more inclusive and equitable workplaces. We thank you for your efforts, your energy, and your good works.
The Diversity Project North America is committed to cultivating diverse talent in the industry. As you may know, we launched an industry-wide recognition and professional development program last quarter, wherein twenty-four Rising Stars were recognized during our inaugural Fearless Leadership Symposium. This quarter, we’ve spent some time getting to know these emerging leaders, and we hope that you do too. Watch video. View our social media channels for in-depth coverage of these young and inspiring individuals, and be sure to share their successes with your connections!
Throughout the summer, Nicsa and DPNA member, EY, joined forces to facilitate Round Table discussions wherein 34 business, HR and DEI leaders from 22 member firms met to share their interpretation and reaction to the findings to our recent DEI Perception Survey, an initiative led by our Benchmarking Committee . Survey responses represented the perceptions of approximately 1,200 industry participants throughout the management ranks and business verticals of asset management and financial services.
After analyzing the survey data and identifying key takeaways, we are excited to announce the release of our annual DEI Perception Study. We encourage you to download the report, share throughout your network, and help us advance this important new benchmarking effort. On November 3, we will be hosting a webinar with subject matter experts behind the survey and DEI space to take a deep dive into the eight key takeaways from the report. Register here.
Benchmarking was a key theme for our membership over the last quarter. Our Next Practices Committee gathered to discuss the growing importance of data transparency and explored two examples of member-firm DEI transparency websites. Read our blog for more details. During the quarter, this committee also generated a toolkit for developing programs intended to facilitate frank conversations and help bridge cultural divides. A Time for Understanding is designed to benefit all associates of your organizations and can be customized by any firm wishing advance allyship among their employees.
As part of our Listen, Learn & Lead series, the Events Committee hosted an important discussion with Latinx professionals in the asset management industry in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. The panel discussed creating mutually beneficial partnerships with third party organizations, as well as how firms are source compelling, diverse candidates from the Latinx community. Watch here.
