The Alternative Investments Committee focuses on industry standardization and best practices between product providers, distributors and service firms. The committee will document best practices and advocate for industry standardization and streamlining of current policies and procedures associated with the service and distribution of alternative investment products. As part of their activities, the committee will also focus on education and opportunities to assist Nicsa in developing content and educational series to inform the investment community on the best practices for alternative investment products across firms and platforms.

This Committee focuses on regulatory compliance and the management of risk in the fund industry. Members share best practices and are responsible for contributions to conference sessions, webinar offerings, and research. Membership typically comprises asset managers, audit firms, and legal and compliance consulting firms.

This advisory Committee is an integral part of the Association and is responsible for identifying and tracking key themes that impact a majority segment of Nicsa member firms. Committee Members are responsible for supporting content development and identifying content sources that support these themes. Membership comprises individuals from companies operating in all segments of the financial industry.
This Committee serves as a resource for the Nicsa community by providing access to information and education related to advanced data analytics. The Committee draws on its own members as well as industry experts to help the Nicsa community identify and understand available data sources and best optimize data within asset management organizations.
The Diversity Project’s Benchmarking Committee works toward identifying metrics and standards to help advance and retain diverse employees within the industry.
The Diversity Project North America is overseen by a CEO Advisory Council which is comprised of C-suite representatives from each of the founding member firms. This council is responsible for providing strategic leadership and leads the implementation of the strategy and key deliverables.
Diversity Project DEI Perception Study Committee
This committee’s efforts will be focused on attracting early career, diverse talent to the industry. The goal of the committee will be to establish partnerships, feeders and frameworks with colleges and universities to focus on building a pipeline of diverse talent. Initial focus will be to create relationships with high schools, colleges and universities to provide access for member firms to participate. The committee plans on hosting “introduction to asset management” forums as well as hosting career events and internships. Efforts will be made to establish connections for graduates interested in asset management by connecting them to recruitment teams at Diversity Project member firms.

The Committee monitors and discusses trends in mutual fund transfer agent operations, including but not limited to those related to regulatory-, industry-, and market changes. Members share best practices and are responsible for content ideation that contributes to Nicsa conference sessions, webinars, and research. In addition, members are responsible for contribution to the annual Nicsa Transfer Agent Compliance Guide. Membership typically comprises transfer agents and investment management companies.
To contribute to Nisca’s mission by providing subject matter expertise for development of best practices and by working with Nicsa staff to make those best practice discussions available to our broader membership in multiple formats. The Committee format and interaction also provide members with opportunities to benchmark and network. The Committee will work to provide and build content and education for the membership.The co-chairs and committee members will discuss topics and determine what content and format are most appropriate depending on the topic.
